We didn’t do much in Derby. We took Matt to the hospital because of his rash. Luckily it was fine. A car got stolen from the caravan park we were staying at – it was still chained to a caravan. The caravan got pulled into a tree before the chain broke. We woke up to hear the crash and the car zoom away. In the morning a motor-home reversed into our car. Luckily we only got a small dent. We didn’t need to get our lights fixed this time.<\/p>\n

There were people watching the parade with water balloons at the ready. They got into a water fight with theses fire fighters.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n We are at Cable Beach. We jumped the waves.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n One afternoon we went on a camel ride on Cable Beach. Mum got a free pair of pearl ear-rings. How come we didn’t?<\/p>\n <\/p>\n There was a great big jolt when the camel sat down at the end.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n At Malcolm Douglas’s Crocodile Park we all held the baby croc. We’re not sure if it was a freshie or a saltie, but we were glad its mouth was tied shut.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n These are some crocs getting fed. They are snapping at each other. The pond was green as grass.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The man patted this American Alligator. He said they make good pets if you feed them a lot. Salties do not make good pets, ever.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n This is Matt getting his arm bitten off by a crocodile.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n This is the sun setting at Cable Beach.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n We went to look at the dinosaur footprints when the tide was really low. We saw this coral.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Matt’s foot is next to a dinosaur footprint.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n This is another dinosaur footprint.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n This is a pair of dinosaur footprints.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n We are looking for more dinosaur footprints. Matt thinks he has found one.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n These are barnacles, or as Captain Haddock would say, ‘billions of blue blistering barnacles’.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Che found these weird black things called chitons.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Dad walked out (and ran part of the way) a kilometre when the tide was low to see this wreck of a flying boat from WWII. The sun had set by the time he got there (he did start just before the sun set).
